Certificates are used to identify devices on the network.

By default, a pre-installed self-signed Jetdirect certificate is created to identify Jetdirect.
You can change this certificate to more accurately identify the device and to update the length of time the certificate is valid.

A Certificate Authority (CA) certificate is required for some authentication methods. It is used to verify the authentication server's certificate.
The CA certificate must be the certificate of the CA that signed the authentication server's certificate.
